The idea for this painting came when I was thinking about the book of Revelation so I have included it in my Revelation series of work.

This is like a simplified time line.  Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross was the most pivotal and significant moment in time.  Before that moment there was no hope of eternity for mankind, and now there is.

Looking back at my art ideas, I can see that I have often done themes of the contrast of dark and light, and a future in hell or heaven, despair and hope.
